A proud member of

Pupil Premium

We believe that every child, regardless of their background, should have access to the same opportunities and curriculum that enables them to grow, achieve and shine.

Our Pupil Premium funding is used to support disadvantaged pupils, and we use our in-depth knowledge of the barriers our families face to establish the most effective way to spend the Pupil Premium. If you believe your child may be eligible for the Pupil Premium, and therefore Free School Meals, please click here.

What is the Pupil Premium?

The Pupil Premium is an allocation of funding, in addition to main school funding, which schools receive according to the number of children in specific groups, to close the attainment gap between disadvantaged and non-disadvantaged pupils. We use the Pupil Premium in various ways to support our children, and more information can be found in our Pupil Premium Strategy. The government does not dictate how the Pupil Premium must be spent, we use our knowledge of our pupils and current research (such as from the EEF) when deciding how to spend the Pupil Premium.

We also recognise that not all pupils who are socially disadvantaged are registered or qualify for free school meals. Therefore we use this funding to support any pupil or groups of pupils that we have identified. We aim to ensure that every child at Churchfield has the same opportunities to grow, achieve & shine.
